PECO, a Cleveland Roll Forming Environmental Division Inc. company, has been providing innovative solutions to electrostatic precipitator applications for more than twenty years. Formerly known as Precipitator Engineering Company, PECO has grown into an established single-source supplier within the marketplace by maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity. Our team of experts has experience with all aspects of ESP design, consulting, inspections, construction and service.
The rehabilitation of an existing electrostatic precipitator is a cost effective means of meeting stringent emission restrictions. PECO's strength is derived from our ability to objectively evaluate an existing system in order to develop a retrofit plan to enhance performance. We then use inventive methods to adapt the mounting and arrangement of our standard equipment to match the physical layout of the existing ESP shell. This flexibility gives us the capacity to work with any OEM design.
In most cases, the original equipment can be enhanced by improved designs for mechanical & electrical systems such as rapping, control systems, electrical sectionalization, collecting plate style, and discharge electrode type. Many of our successes have been based on complete or partial changes to wide plate spacing and rigid discharge electrode configurations.
PECO's project history has been very diverse, involving virtually every OEM equipment design, including: Research-Cottrell, UOP, PC-Walther, and American Standard. Our experience is not limited to these designs, however, with additional major ESP rebuild or retrofit projects completed on equipment from Joy-Western, Lodge-Cottrell, Environmental Elements, Buell, and others. With our wide customer base, we have gained experience with the typical problems associated with each different equipment style, as well as the best methods for correcting them.
Our particulate background comprises projects from all areas of the marketplace, including: Flyash from coal-fired utilities, Saltcake collection for the black liquor process at pulp & paper mills, Kiln dust at cement factories, Iron oxide at steel mills, as well as flyash collection from smaller coal power boilers for various industry.
