PECO’s expertise lies in the planning, design, engineering, and supervision of Electrostatic Precipitator rebuilds and their components. We are not a construction company, however we offer turnkey project management and supervisory services, including technical field consultants to provide on-site support for both union and non-union construction subcontractors. PECO subcontracts the labor portion of all turnkey projects we perform. However, PECO has worked with the same non-union contractor for over 15 years in the utility industry and performed numerous projects together across the country rebuilding precipitators. In either case (union or non-union) the contractor will provide all manpower, supervision, tools, and equipment required to perform the construction.
The PECO Project Manager assumes responsibility for running the project at the site and is the main point of contact for the customer. The PECO project manager will be on site at all times the contractor is present, and is tasked with maintaining the schedule and ensuring a smooth and efficient construction project.
During smaller precipitator projects, PECO offers technical field consultants who arrive on-site and offer technical expertise to either plant personnel or subcontractors to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of such installations. Examples include assisting in precipitator component replacement, or other major maintenance repairs/replacements during short outages. Rates for both Project Managers and Technical Field Consultants can be billed at either a daily rate or offered in a lump sum fee.
