Flue Gas Conditioning Systems

FGC's History

For the past fifteen years, FGC has been a leader in providing Products and Services for Flue Gas Conditioning Systems. Our systems and products are reliable and dependable allowing older marginal equipment to meet today's stringent emission regulations. Our first SO3 System, installed in 1993, is still in operation today ensuring that regulatory standards are achieved.

Expertise in Flue Gas Conditioning

FGC has designed and installed complete SO3 systems, SO2 based systems, Dry Sulfur Equipment, NH3 systems, PLC control replacements, DCS interfaces, metering pump upgrades, converter upgrades, and injection probe replacements and upgrades.

Our goal is to provide the most economical method to improve control of emissions from exhaust flue gas. Below are highlights of a few of the innovative ideas of FGC equipment and some of the advantages of doing business with FGC:

  • FGC and its associated company, PECO, are 100% dedicated precipitator oriented organizations, which fully understand the application of flue gas conditioning equipment and electrostatic precipitator operation.
  • All of the fabricated equipment to be provided is specifically designed by FGC and PECO in Cleveland, Ohio.
  • The combined operations for engineering and manufacturing allow us to provide a comprehensive design package along with the ability to support the product.

Pioneers of Containerized SO3 and NH3 Systems

In addition to the typical skid mounted or component based flue gas conditioning systems, FGC Inc. has pioneered the use of the Containerized Design for SO3 and NH3 Systems. FGC Inc.’s containerized systems come completely factory assembled and equipped with electrical outlets, lighting, diamond plate flooring, exit doors, and ventilation fans. Prior to shipping the container to the project site, a Factory Acceptance Test is completed at our fabrication facility. The containerized system is then shipped on a flatbed truck to the project site where minimal field installation is required. In addition, the container is weatherproof and can be placed indoors or outdoors offering full installation flexibility. All of our systems (Dry Sulfur "DSI", Molten Sulfur, and/or Ammonia) are fully compatible with our containerized fabrication design.
